From January 2005 the world famous Wembley Arena will be closing to undergo a multi-million pound refurbishment programme that will see the entrance to the arena reoriented, creating a spectacular triple height façade overlooking the new Arena Square, which will be constructed at the same time at the top of Olympic Way. The extensive work will see Wembley Arena totally transformed with design features echoing the original 1930s architecture of the building and upgraded modern facilities for both audiences and artists. Internally there will be three levels, with stairs and lifts taking customers from the foyer at the entrance level to the concourses, bars and refreshment areas on the middle floor, and with a new modern restaurant and bar on the third level overlooking the main entrance.
